La Vieille Ferme Rosé

Description

Region: Rhône Valley, France. Grape varieties: A blend of the region's traditional varieties — Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah. Vinification: The wine is made by the «saignée» (bleeding) method, where the juice is left briefly in contact with the dark skins to gain a delicate pink colour, then fermented at a controlled low temperature to preserve freshness and aroma. Tasting notes: The wine shows a beautiful pale pink colour. The aroma is dominated by fresh red berries (strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant) and shades of white flowers. The palate is dry, light and balanced, with a fruity character and a pleasant finish. What it goes with: An excellent aperitif. Ideal with salads, Provençal dishes, pizza, barbecue and sushi. Serving temperature: chill to 8–10 °C.
