Grande Absente Absinthe Supérieure 69 is a French absinthe made to old Provençal recipes. Wormwood extract in the blend and a strength of 69% give it genuine depth and character. The colour is pale green with golden lights. The nose is led by wormwood, anise, fennel and aromatic herbs. The palate is spiced, powerful and warming, with clear anise and meadow-herb tones. The finish is long, intense and refreshing. Serve by the classic ritual: iced water poured over a sugar cube on an absinthe spoon, which softens the strength and opens the aroma. Drink from absinthe glasses or a wide rocks glass; it also works in cocktails.
