Vía Barrosa Albariño 2022 is a dry white from Rías Baixas, Spain's leading white wine region, made entirely from Albariño from the 2022 harvest. The style is oceanic: fresh, bright and saline-mineral, with a stately deer on the label. On the nose, ripe peach and apricot, green apple, grapefruit and passion fruit, joined by white flowers, sea breeze, a light salinity and citrus zest. The palate is marked by crisp, lively acidity, a dense silky texture and a long, refreshing mineral-and-lemon finish. Seafood is the natural match: oysters, scallops, mussels in white wine, octopus and baked king prawns. Salmon tartare, grilled sea bass, sushi and sashimi, avocado salads and seafood paella work just as well. For cheese, choose soft goat's cheeses, feta or burrata. Serve at 8–10 °C.
