Steinbräu Wit is a Belgian-style wheat beer (witbier). The taste is light and refreshing, with bright citrus notes, shades of orange peel and coriander and a soft wheat texture; a light haze stands in the glass. Serve it in a tall wheat beer glass that tapers towards the rim, or in a traditional heavy tulip glass — that way the spice and citrus aroma opens up and a dense head holds. It goes with seafood and fish — prawns, mussels, grilled squid, delicate white fish such as sea bream and sea bass; with light salads in a citrus dressing; with soft goat and young cheeses — fresh goat cheese, mozzarella, feta, burrata; with grilled chicken breast and turkey; with lemon tarts, cheesecakes and fruit plates with orange and lime.
