Description

St. Dalfour: Strawberry and Rhubarb Jam (no added sugar) is a French preserve in which the sweetness of ripe garden strawberries meets the tart edge of rhubarb. It is made only from selected berries and rhubarb, with no artificial flavourings, colourings or preservatives; the sweetness comes from concentrated juice of ripe grapes and fruit, and the thick texture from the old French method of reducing juices. The gentle sweetness of the garden strawberries is set off by the light, refreshing acidity and astringency of the rhubarb, leaving a many-sided finish. The jam is served with morning toast, crispbread and fresh croissants, with pancakes, fritters and homemade waffles, with soft and curd cheeses, with plain yoghurt, curd and ice cream; it also works as a filling for baking. It comes in a glass jar with a screw lid, net weight 284 g.
