Description
Kingston 62 Jamaica Gold Rum — a rich, aromatic aged golden rum from the sunny shores of Jamaica, made by the masters of Appleton Estate. The rum has a deep character in which Caribbean tradition meets notes of spice, caramel and tropical wood. Its golden ageing and full flavour make it good on its own: pour it into a rocks glass and add a couple of large ice cubes — the strength softens and the aroma opens differently. In cocktails golden rum lends depth and a spiced edge: a classic Cuba Libre with cola and lime, or more elaborate tropical mixes. Serve at room temperature or lightly chilled, around 18–20 °C, in a rocks or Old Fashioned glass; a wedge of lime or a cinnamon stick sits well beside it. The rum goes with grilled dishes, steaks and pork in spiced sauces, and among desserts with dark chocolate, caramel and exotic fruit.
