Bodegas CARO Amancaya Malbec - Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the union of the Mendoza terroir and the winemaking experience of the Rothschild house, owners of Château Lafite Rothschild. It blends Malbec, which brings velvet texture and juicy fruit, with Cabernet Sauvignon, which adds structure and spice. The bouquet is complex: ripe black cherry, plum, blackberry and blackcurrant, framed by vanilla, tobacco, cedar and a trail of spice from French oak ageing. The palate is silky and balanced, with dark fruit, dark chocolate and balsamic nuances; the tannins are soft and ripe, the finish long. Serve with fine meat dishes: ribeye or medium-rare filet mignon, roast leg of lamb with rosemary and garlic. It also suits pâtés and aged hard cheeses such as Parmesan and Manchego. Use a large Bordeaux glass with a wide bowl and a tapered rim.
