Description

Badagoni Alazani Valley is a semi-sweet white from Kakheti, Georgia's best-known wine region. It blends traditional white varieties, mainly Rkatsiteli and other indigenous grapes grown in the Alazani Valley. The nose is delicate and fresh: ripe white fruit, juicy pear and peach, light floral touches and a citrus edge. The palate is soft and moderately sweet, with ripe fruit and honey balanced by pleasant acidity, and a clean, fruity finish. Serve chilled at 10–12 °C, including as an aperitif. It pairs with light fruit salads and desserts of peach and melon, with fresh soft cheeses, with plain pastries, and with poultry in a light sauce. Use a classic medium-sized white wine glass with a tapering bowl.
