Wild Turkey 101 is the distillery's flagship bourbon, known for its bold character and 50.5% strength. The colour is deep amber copper. The nose is powerful and layered: sweet vanilla, caramel, toasted oak and the spice that comes from a high rye content, with light honey and citrus. The palate is full-bodied and warming — vanilla and honey sweetness moving into oak, cinnamon, nutmeg and a light peppery bite. The finish is long and persistent, with wood and spice. Sip it slowly neat, where a few drops of water soften the strength, over ice, or in classic cocktails: Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Whiskey Sour.
