Villa Maria Private Bin Pinot Grigio East Coast is a New Zealand dry white from the East Coast, made entirely from Pinot Grigio by one of the country's most decorated producers. The style is refreshing and structured, with generous aromatics and a mineral character. The nose is intense and many-sided: ripe pear, white peach and citrus, with fine floral nuances and light spice accents. The palate is harmonious, juicy and rounded, with lively refreshing acidity, an agreeable texture and a long, clean finish. Pairs with grilled prawns, squid, mussels, oysters and scallops, with baked white fish, sushi and rolls, and with pan-Asian dishes such as spring rolls and ginger-led recipes. For cheese, choose young goat's cheeses or soft creamy styles. Serve at 8–10 °C.
