Valdebarón Blanco Rioja DOCa by Bodegas Ondarre is a Spanish dry white wine from Rioja, made from the rare native Tempranillo Blanco and aged on the lees and in barrel. Rounded and textured, with light creamy, woody nuances. The nose is refined and intense: white flowers, ripe pear, green melon and crisp green apple, framed by touches of vanilla and cream. On the palate it is fresh and full, with a creamy texture, a herbal edge of acidity and a long, dry finish. Serve at 10–12 °C, not over-chilled. It pairs with baked white fish and seafood, poultry, rabbit or veal in a cream sauce, vegetable starters and tapas, and soft to semi-hard cheeses.
