Tundra Bitter Orange is a dessert herbal liqueur produced by Tatspirtprom, Russia. It is 35% ABV, based on Alpha-class spirit, with a blend of 23 herbs and roots — St John's wort, lemon balm, ginger, galangal, birch and pine buds — plus honey and orange extract. The colour is deep dark amber. The nose is fragrant and layered, with ripe orange, wild herbs and spiced roots. The palate is soft, slightly oily and gently sweet, balancing citrus freshness against a refined bitterness on the long finish. Serve in rocks glasses or small brandy snifters, well chilled or over ice, at around 8–10 °C. As an aperitif it sharpens the appetite; as a digestif it closes a dinner. It pairs with charcuterie and pâtés, aged cheeses, dark chocolate and citrus desserts, and mixes well with tonic or ginger ale and a slice of orange.
