Stony Cape Pinot Grigio is a dry white from South Africa's Western Cape, made entirely from Pinot Grigio. The style is New World: light, refreshing and clearly fruit-led. The nose is appealing and fresh: ripe green apple, white pear and citrus with light floral nuances. The palate is balanced, dry and easy-drinking, with a fine edge of acidity and a clean, bracing finish. Pairs with prawns, mussels, squid and shellfish, with baked white fish, sushi and rolls, and with vegetable salads, summer starters and light poultry dishes. For cheese, choose young and soft styles. Serve at 8–10 °C.
