Michel Schneider Riesling Lieblich is a German Riesling in an off-sweet style — Lieblich refers to that gentle natural sweetness. On the nose, ripe white peach, apricot, lime and green apple over a light mineral note. The palate is juicy and refreshing: a lively acidity keeps the sweetness in check, with nothing cloying about it. Serve well chilled at 8–10 °C. The sweetness tames heat, so the wine handles curry and Thai cooking with ease, as well as duck with apples, pork in a sweet-and-sour glaze and blue cheeses.
