Marquês de Lara Loureiro is a Portuguese dry white wine made from the native Loureiro grape, whose name comes from the word for laurel: bay leaf and floral notes are the variety's signature. Light, crisp and bracing. The nose is vivid and expressive: laurel blossom, white flowers, ripe citrus such as lime and lemon, crisp green apple and light herbal nuances. On the palate it is drinkable and refreshing, with bracing acidity, a light body and a clean, tonic finish. Serve well chilled at 8–10 °C. It pairs with prawns, mussels and oysters, grilled white fish, light fish tartare, summer vegetable salads and sushi.
