Grolsch Premium Pilsner is a pale pilsner with more than 400 years of history, brewed in the Netherlands to traditional recipes on two hop varieties. The colour is clear straw gold under a dense white head. The aroma is fresh, with fine grain notes and grassy, lightly spicy shades of hops. The taste is dry and refreshing: a soft malt sweetness turns quickly into a clean hop bitterness on the finish. The texture is sparkling, with lively carbonation. Serve it well chilled at 4–6 °C, poured at a 45-degree angle into a classic pilsner glass or a straight pint. The hop bitterness balances fat, so the pilsner works with burgers and hot dogs, with barbecue wings, onion rings and nachos with salsa, with battered fish, prawns and squid in garlic sauce, and with semi-hard cheeses — young gouda, edam, a not too aged cheddar.
