Description

Glenfiddich Fire & Cane, from the Experimental Series, is a single malt Scotch where peat smoke meets the sweetness of Caribbean rum. Peated whisky was married with bourbon-cask spirit, then the blend was finished in Latin American rum casks. The colour is deep amber with copper lights. The nose is intriguing: peat smoke, baked apple, toffee, oak and sweet spice. The palate is bright and soft, the smoke rounded out by tropical fruit, vanilla and candied ginger. The finish is long, with dry smoke and a spiced trail. Serve at room temperature in a tulip glass (Glencairn) or over a single cube in a rocks glass. It pairs with dark chocolate, caramel desserts, nuts or a cigar.
