Dewar's 12 Years Old "Double Aged"

Description

Dewar's 12 Years Old 'Double Aged' is a blended Scotch bringing together malt and grain whiskies aged at least 12 years. After maturation the blend goes back into oak for several months: this double ageing gives the palate softness and depth. The colour is golden amber with honeyed lights. On the nose, ripe dried fruit, juicy orange, creamy vanilla and light florals. The palate is smooth, balanced and full-bodied, with baked apple, honey, candied citrus and warming spice. The finish is long, warm and enveloping. Serve at room temperature in a tulip glass or a heavy rocks glass; it works neat, over ice and in cocktails. It pairs with light desserts, dried fruit, nuts and ripe peaches.
