19 Crimes Snoop Dogg Cali Red is a Californian red made in collaboration with the rapper Snoop Dogg. It is a blend of classic varieties — mainly Petite Sirah, Zinfandel and Merlot. The bouquet is rich and layered: ripe blackcurrant, blackberry and dark cherry, joined by vanilla, spice and oak. The palate is dense and generous, with liquorice and chocolate, velvety tannins and a long finish. The wine calls for hearty, boldly flavoured food: grilled steaks and beef burgers, barbecue ribs in a spicy sauce, pepperoni pizza, aged hard cheeses and cured-meat antipasti. Use a large Bordeaux glass with a wide bowl and a tapered rim.
