Codorníu Costers del Segre Red Grenache Organic Wine 1551 is an organic red from Costers del Segre in Spain, made from Grenache. Juicy, yet neatly composed. The bouquet offers ripe red fruit — cherry and raspberry — joined by savoury herbs and a touch of vanilla. Tannins are soft and the palate rounded. Serve with grilled red meat: ribeye steak or pork ribs. It also suits braised game, rabbit and veal, aged cheeses such as Manchego and Pecorino, and pasta with Bolognese. Use a medium or large tulip-shaped red wine glass, or a wide-bowled Burgundy glass — the wine needs air.
