Baileys The Original Irish Cream is an Irish cream liqueur made from aged Irish whiskey, fresh Irish cream and natural cocoa and vanilla flavours. It is 17% ABV. The colour is a dense creamy caramel. The nose is rich, led by cream, caramel, cocoa and a light vanilla trail. The palate is velvety and creamy-sweet, with vanilla and chocolate and a warming whiskey finish. Serve lightly chilled or at room temperature, in low old-fashioned glasses or small liqueur glasses; over ice the sweetness softens and the texture reads fresher. A couple of spoonfuls can replace cream in hot coffee, and it works in layered cocktails such as the B-52. At the table it suits tiramisu, cheesecake, brownies and pancakes, vanilla ice cream, strawberries and bananas, almonds and hazelnuts.
