Description
Bacardi Oakheart Spiced is a spiced rum at 35%, matured in charred American oak casks. The nose is rich and warm, with vanilla, caramel, honey and a light smokiness from the charred wood. The palate is soft, lightly sweet and warming, with dried fruit, cinnamon, nutmeg and an agreeable woody grip. The finish is spiced and moderately sweet. Drink it over ice in a rocks glass — the ice tames the strength and brings out the vanilla and spice — or in long drinks: an Oak & Cola with cola at one part to three and lime juice, or a warm apple toddy with cinnamon and star anise. For food, green apple, pear, orange dusted with cinnamon, nuts, and dark chocolate or caramel desserts.
