Babich Marlborough Pinot Noir 2024 is a New World dry red from Marlborough in New Zealand. It is 100% Pinot Noir from the 2024 harvest, made by Babich Wines, one of the country's oldest family wineries, founded in 1916. The nose is bright: red cherry, ripe raspberry, dark plum and strawberry, joined by spice, dried herbs, a touch of cinnamon and a delicate oak nuance with vanilla. The palate is light, fresh and juicy, with silky tannins, lively fruit acidity and an elegant finish. Pairs with roast duck in berry sauce, turkey, grilled chicken breast and veal, with grilled salmon or tuna steak, and with wild mushroom dishes and chanterelle risotto. For cheese, choose Brie, Camembert or Gouda. Serve at 14–16 °C; no decanting is needed, as the wine shows its berry fruit straight away.
