Aultmore of the Foggie Moss 18 YO is a rare, understated Speyside single malt. Its water is filtered through the Foggie Moss heather bogs, and no peat smoke is used at any stage — hence the clarity and freshness of the spirit. The colour is pale golden straw. On the nose, meadow flowers, green apple, ripe citrus and grassy nuances. The palate is silky, round and elegant: creamy vanilla, ripe fruit, white peach and delicate spice. The finish is long, clean and refreshing. Best neat as a digestif at room temperature, from a tulip glass (Glencairn) or a snifter. It pairs with light fish and seafood dishes or fine cheeses.
